Bike Thieves Charged with 10 Felony Counts

In Long Beach, two men that are suspected of being responsible for multiple bicycle thefts were recently arrested and charged with 10 felony counts.
On July 31st, Mark Elsey Shields was taken into police custody in relation to bicycle thefts that had occurred within a condominium parking structure. After learning of the thefts, the local homeowners association distributed fliers throughout the complex would showcased the photo of the person believed to have stolen the bikes.
Later, a resident reported a person that looks like the man in the photo had entered the building. Police were then able to arrest 35-year-old Shields on suspicion of petty theft, possession of burglary tools and residential burglary.
25-year-old Justin Wosick was also arrested for the same crimes. Police believe that both men are responsible for similar offenses that occurred last year in Long Beach.
