Brawl Before UCLA Game Leads to Attempted Murder Charges
A brawl that happened before a Southern California -UCLA football game resulted in the arrest of three adult siblings and their father for attempted murder. Pasadena police arrested Arturo Cisneros, 44, was eventually released on Tuesday; however, Lt. Tracey Ibarra stated that the investigation is still pending. Cisneros was only released because the time limit for holding him without charges being filed had expired.
Two men were stabbed at the game, leading to Cisneros arrest for investigation of attempted murder. Although one victim was quickly released from the hospital, one remains hospitalized in stable condition.
When Cisnero was released from custody his two sons, Arthur, 25, and Anthony, 22, and daughter, Akira, 24, were arrested. They are being held in lieu of $1 billion bail. Once police studied videos from the fight on Saturday and talked with eyewitnesses they realized who needed to be arrested.
The stabbings put a damper on the daylong tailgating that normally occurs at the annual rivalry game between the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California.
At this time prosecutors have not filed charges against any of the siblings, who are expected to appear in court on Wednesday. They are likely to be charged with some sort of violent offense.
None of the Cisneros family members are actually affiliated with either university.
