Woman Goes on Stabbing Spree at Crowded Target Store

In West Hollywood this past Monday a woman began randomly stabbing people with a knife in a busy Target store. She wounded three women and one man and was arrested when an off-duty sheriff’s deputy pulled his gun and ordered the woman to the ground. The 35-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
Several of the shoppers thought that the off-duty deputy, Clay Grant, was a gunman and began running and screaming trying to flee the area. Sgt. Josh Mankini, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, said he didn’t know what would have happened had Deputy Grant not been there. “He was just doing his shopping and we’re pretty proud of him.”
One of the victims was in critical condition and the condition of the others is not known at this time.
