Man Used Fake Identities on MySpace to Lure Minor for Sex

In Palos Verdes, California, it has been reported that police officers and agents with the FBI have arrested a man from Southern California. Allegedly, the man had posed as a teenager online to trick a 14-year-old girl into having sex with him.

Police say that they raided the home of 24-year-old Hugo Galindo Gonzalez in Harbor City.  They then placed him under arrest for using the Internet to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity which was criminal in nature.

One officer said that Gonzalez had used multiple false identities on the social networking site, MySpace, to lure and contact the victim.  Gonzalez allegedly told the girl he was 19 years old.

Police have reason to believe that Gonzalez is a sexual predator who may have gone after other girls in South Bay, California.
