ICE Official Facing Child Pornography Charges
Shocking news for local residents of Miami: the head of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency in South Florida has been implicated on charges of child pornography.
According to the Miami Herald, the FBI searched the home and office of Anthony V. Mangione after being tipped off about his possible child pornography connections. Even though the 50-year-old head of ICE has often spoken publicly about "predators" who illegally share images of children online, Mangione found his own home being searched.
After spending his entire career with ICE and the U.S. Customs Service, Mangione had plans of retiring this summer. At this time the head ICE department in Washington, DC has declined comments about the case. Any further questions should be directed to Laura Sweeney at the Department of Justice.
