Female Coach Faces Sex Crime Charges
When you hear about a case of child molestation, the perpetrator is usually assumed to be male. In a recent case brought to light last week, however, this was not the case as a softball coach in Napa finds herself behind bars due to recent allegations of sexual misconduct.
The 33-year-old woman coached at a local high school for several years, making allegations a complete shock to parents and students alike.
However, a victim recently came forward with sex crime allegations against the coach, leading police to make an arrest after their investigations concluded. To protect the identity of the victim, neither her name nor age has been released to the public, although it is known that she is between 14 and 18 years old.
The coach now faces multiple charges including annoying or molesting a child under 18, oral copulation with a person under 18, contacting a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense and sending material with intent to seduce a minor.
