Riots Break Out in Hollywood Prompting Arrests
Police in Hollywood had their hands full last Wednesday when three events were held on the same night, sending drunk and disorderly people onto the streets in droves.
In one incident, as one man was leading a parade down a local boulevard for a movie premiere, several of his fans met with people heading to other events. However, the block party created in modern flash mob style had the crowd riled up and ready to rumble for no apparent reason.
When officers were called in to calm down the crowd, not everyone was ready to call it a night. Due to the crowd's rowdiness, three people total were taken into custody that night for various crimes: one for felony vandalism, one for assaulting an officer and the third on an unknown charge.
Even though the event was so out-of-control as to warrant police shooting bean bags into the crowd, nobody was seriously hurt.
