Coach Arrested for Internet Sex Crimes in Detroit
In Whitmore Lake, local law enforcement officers say that a high school and middle school cross country coach stands accused of soliciting an undercover officer that he believed was a 14-year-old girl over the Internet.
37-year-old Larry James Bostwick, Jr. was arraigned on charges of child sexually abusive activity, using a computer in the commission of a crime and accosting a child for immoral purposes. His charges were made public by the Detroit Free Press. If he is convicted, Bostwick will face up to 44 years of jail time. The judge presiding over his case set his bail at $200,000.
According to police, Bostwick was chatting on the Internet with an undercover officer that was posing as a young girl. He made plans to meet with the girl at a specific location to have sex with her and was placed under arrest when he arrived at that location on Friday.
