Preacher Facing Child Molestation Charges

An 86-year-old man and a former preacher has been accused of molesting a family member multiple times over a period of eight years. The alleged victim, a now 20-year-old woman, claims that she was molested by the preacher from the age of three until she was eleven years old. The preacher has been charged with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, and sodomy.

The man was contacted by investigators and ordered to return to his home state, but refused to do so. He was then arrested in his current state and is now fighting extradition to the state in which he is charged.

Investigators are looking into a number of churches at which the man is believed to have served during his tenure as a preacher. So far, no other victims have come forward. It is possible and perhaps even likely that the young woman is the only person that the 86-year-old man abused as is often the case with people who molest family members.
